Your smartphone camera is already powerful. But what if you could make your phone footage smoother, smarter and much more professional without carrying a full camera setup?
Meet the DJI Osmo Mobile 8P — a next-generation smartphone gimbal designed to help creators capture smoother videos, follow moving subjects and get creative with their shots.
What Makes the DJI Osmo Mobile 8P Special?
The Osmo Mobile 8P combines powerful 3-axis stabilization with intelligent tracking and creative shooting tools, giving your smartphone some serious filmmaking abilities.
🎥 Advanced 3-Axis Stabilization
Say goodbye to shaky walking shots. The Osmo Mobile 8P uses advanced 3-axis stabilization to keep your smartphone footage smooth while you're walking, following a subject or changing angles.
Whether you're filming a vlog, event, product video or your next TikTok, smoother footage instantly gives your content a more polished look.
🎯 ActiveTrack 8.0 — Let the Gimbal Do the Following
Moving around while filming yourself can be tricky. The Osmo Mobile 8P's upgraded ActiveTrack 8.0 is designed to keep your subject in the frame, even when there's plenty happening around you.
The Multifunctional Module 2 can also track people, pets, vehicles and other selected objects, making it particularly useful for creators who need to stay hands-free.
🕹️ Meet Osmo FrameTap
One of the standout additions to the 8P is the detachable Osmo FrameTap remote.
It allows you to control the gimbal remotely, adjust framing and view the feed from compatible equipment. That means you can set up your phone, step away and still have much more control over your shot. DJI specifies remote operation from up to 10 metres.
Perfect for selfies, group shots, presentations and solo content creation.
🔄 360° Pan Rotation
Want to get creative?
The Osmo Mobile 8P supports 360° unlimited pan rotation, opening up possibilities for dynamic movements, panoramas and creative transitions.
🤳 Built-In Extension Rod & Tripod
No need to carry a separate selfie stick and tripod.
The Osmo Mobile 8P includes a built-in extension rod and tripod, making it easy to switch between handheld filming and hands-free shooting. Its foldable design also makes it convenient to carry around.
🔋 Up to 10 Hours of Battery Life
With a battery rated for up to 10 hours of operation under specified conditions, the Osmo Mobile 8P is built for long shooting sessions. It can also charge your smartphone via USB-C — useful when you're filming away from a power outlet.
Who Is the DJI Osmo Mobile 8P For?
The great thing about the Osmo Mobile 8P is that you don't need to be a professional filmmaker to enjoy it.
It's ideal for:
- 📱 TikTok and Instagram creators who want smoother, more professional videos
- 🎬 YouTubers and vloggers looking for better smartphone footage
- 🛍️ Business owners creating product demonstrations and social media content
- 🎤 Event creators capturing people and activities on the move
- ✈️ Travelers who want cinematic-looking footage without carrying a large camera
- 🐶 Pet owners who want to capture their pets while they move around
- 🎥 Beginners who want to improve their videos without learning complicated camera equipment
And because it works with smartphones, you can start creating with the camera you already carry every day.
Why Upgrade to the Osmo Mobile 8P?
Think of it this way: your phone gives you the camera, while the Osmo Mobile 8P gives you control, stability and movement.
Instead of simply pointing your phone and pressing record, you can create smoother walking shots, dynamic movements, hands-free videos, low-angle footage and tracked shots.
The DJI Mimo app also provides features such as ShotGuides and one-tap editing, making the system approachable for creators who are still learning.
